Beth and Dan :: Selby Gardens Wedding Photography

There isn't a day that I'm not eternally grateful to be a wedding photographer, but on Beth and Dan's wedding day I was particularly thankful. They were married at one of my absolute favorite venues, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, on one of the most gorgeous days. Everywhere I turned, there were beautiful moments in the most gorgeous light. Seriously though, how about Dan's reaction when he saw Beth for the first time? To avoid redundancy, I only posted a few of his reaction, but I honestly thought about posting ten. In truth, that is the case with their entire wedding. I'll take that problem any day of the week.

Emma + David :: Selby Gardens Engagement Session

When Emma and David left from the other coast of Florida for our engagement session, it was a comfortable 80 degrees. But when they got to Sarasota, it was right around 59 degrees with a heavy breeze. Even so, the light was beautiful, and they did an amazing job keeping each other warm. Honestly, without the strong wind, I would not have been able to get the amazing sunset shots that we did, so I'm grateful! I had so much fun capturing their love on film. I cannot wait for their beautiful wedding at the Boca Raton Resort this coming May!

Each November for the past 5 years, they have continued to set the par for print magazines. In taking the magazine and blog to the next level, the editor in chief Lara Casey has not only filled the pages of the magazines with amazingly original details, but also always reminds brides what a wedding and marriage is truly about. For this and so many reasons, Lara has inspired me in life and business in 2013, and to make things happen in 2014. That's an entirely different blog post. Katie + Erick :: Selby Gardens Wedding

Most of the time, I can tell if clients will be a great fit from the initial email. For Katie and Erick, I had a good feeling when they said they'll be getting married at one of my absolute favorite venues, Selby Gardens. When we first met, my excitement grew because I loved their personal style and loved hearing about their wedding plans. Katie told me that many of her childhood memories were of buying flowers with her mother and helping water her mother's garden in Pittsburg. In the end, I think I'm most excited about how wonderful both Katie and Erick's families and friends were to work with, and that I can definitely call them my friends. When everything was said and done, Katie and Erick sent a wonderful thank you card and a gift subscription to Backpacker magazine. It was not only extremely thoughtful, but came at a perfect time... Katie + Erick :: Tampa Engagement Shoot

My biggest goal for my business going in to 2012 was to only book clients that are a great fit. So far I've stuck to my goal, and Katie and Erick are a perfect example. They'll be getting married in April at one of my absolute favorite venues, Selby Gardens in Sarasota. The more I learn about them, the more I like them. They're stylish, fun, and really thoughtful. Needless to say, I can't wait hardly wait for spring to come around. Thank you both for everything.
