Increasingly over the last few years, I've had the distinct honor and joy of working with like-minded clients. Recently, I've been fortunate to build relationships with some incredible and inspirational artists and business owners in the wedding industry. Jade with Jade Lee Events may have single handedly justified my usage of twitter. About two years ago, I tweeted that I was at a business workshop in downtown Atlanta, and later that night Jade and I connected over dinner. Shortly after we met, Jade referred an absolutely incredible Southern Wedding in Athens, GA. It was a bucket list wedding to say the least. Not only is Jade an absolutely amazing wedding planner, but she's also a super talented floral designer. She has already accomplished so much in her first 5 years in business, I can't wait to see what the next 5 years have in store! Today I'm sending our last wedding together, and a gorgeous peach inspiration shoot for publication.
Studio Manager :: Renee
Meet Renee, my new and absolutely amazing studio manager. She was looking for new head shots for the promotion of her album, as well as for a poster for an upcoming show... And I'll take any excuse to pick up my Contax when I have a great location, gorgeous light, and a beautiful subject! I can't get enough of the creamy and beautiful color images, but I have always and will always love a grainy black and white film. Not only is Renee an incredibly talented musician, but she can also handle just about any crazy task I can throw at her. She will undoubtedly be a huge asset as I set my sights on 2014 and beyond. I'm so grateful to have her on my team.
Destination Engagement Sessions
Looking through my portfolio, you might guess that many of my engagement sessions are shot outside of Florida. Truth be told, my background in nature photography has led me to some of the most scenic and beautiful locations in Florida and some you might call uncharacteristically "Florida". Sometimes though, nothing can replace Autumn in New England, the soul of NYC, or simply the place where your groom proposed. For those instances, there is honestly nothing I love doing more than a Destination Engagement Session. In order, you'll see - Washington D.C. for the Spring Cherry Blossoms, outside Philadelphia in Autumn, New York City (Central Park), Autumn in Boston, Blue Ridge, Georgia, and finally Chicago. I hope there are many more destinations to come!
