You might think not having a weekend off since February, and shooting five weddings in the last three weekends would leave me tired and burnt out. Quite the contrary, I finished my wedding season energized and excited to experiment with a new black and white film, which I have quickly come to love. On this day, I sought to capture darker scenes and little more drama than you might find in my typical work. However, in the end I knew it would be impossible to hide Pam's great smile and personality. I had the pleasure of shooting my good friend Pam about a year and a half prior, only that was a frigid winter shoot.
Colleen :: Senior
I don't post many senior portraits on my blog, but Colleen is no ordinary senior. Besides all her talents, creativity, and effortless beauty, she has been an amazing senior rep! Last year I did an epic shoot for her 17th birthday, which I knew would be hard to top. But fun props, and an amazing location made this shoot quite epic as well. Too many amazing ones to choose from.
Kyra :: Fashion
For inspiration and rejuvination, I turned to my friend Kyra for a fashion shoot. The light, the weather, and the location worked together beautifully. In case you're wondering, the fun shots of Kyra in an apron are for her new food blog. I'm sure it won't be long before we see her as a food critic on her own show. Thank you so much Kyra for being an amazing model. Check out her blog here.And a special thanks to Michele Renee for waking up early on a Sunday morning for hair and makeup. Also, thank you Lori Ballard for coming down and allowing us to shoot at the amazing venue, The Heights Waterfront.
