Lexia + Dustin :: Oregon

Photographing a film photographer on film was quite the honor. Not just any photographer either, the crazy talented Lexia Frank and her really awesome husband. Portland and the Pacific Northwest had certainly been calling my name, and the chance to hang out with and photograph this happily married couple was icing on the cake. After crazy traffic, we explored a few of my favorite quintessential Columbia River Gorge locations that just can't be found any where else; Except maybe New Zealand or Iceland. Fortune favors the bold... Lexia and Dustin were looking for a change and a new city... Chose Portland, and have been really happy and haven't looked back. After our amazing shoot, we intended to head straight to an awesome brewery, but ended up detouring an hour and a half to bring stranded hikers back to their car. Needless to say, our shoot had no shortage of adventure.

Kimberly + Michael :: Bayshore Engagement Session

Some days, my job might look easy... This was one of those days. Kimberly and Michael are such a wonderful couple and have the cutest 1 year old Golden Retriever. Like his owners, he is very photogenic. For a couple that grew up in South Tampa, and are getting married at the Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, Bayshore was the perfect engagement session location. It rained just before we started, and the rain threatened for the last hour... But instead, we were graced by the most gorgeous soft light that just sings when photographed with film. I wish May 2014 would come sooner! I can't wait to work with Sarah with One Fine Day for this one!

Kristin + Rob :: Tampa Engagement Session

Every day I walk out of my apartment, and many times when I'm simply walking around taking a break from editing/designing/emails, I stop and think, I love my neighborhood... I should do a shoot here sometime. Thanks to Kristin's suggestion, I finally made that happen! I can't say that every shot was right in front of my building, but I can say that about half of this blog post is! The scenery is quite wonderful, but nothing will top Bella Collina, where Kristin and Rob will be married in October of this year. I was very selective with this post (so many good ones to chose from), so you can imagine my excitement for their upcoming nuptials. Can't you just feel their love in these pictures?

Rachel + Marcus :: Bayshore Boulevard Engagement Session

What could top a Bayshore Boulevard engagement session with gorgeous weather and light? An Oxford Exchange wedding on the first weekend of November. In an effort to avoid an endless list of why I can't wait for Rachel and Marcus' wedding, I'll give my top three. I absolutely love their chemistry and story, they've already chosen amazing vendors and an amazing venue, and they're so incredible easy to work with. Their day can't come soon enough! To make me love them even more, I just got back from a 5 day trip out west for a photography conference, and when I returned there was a handwritten thank you card with a gift certificate for Buddy Brew Coffee. If you've been to the Oxford Exchange, then you probably know how amazing that coffee is... And if you've asked me about the Oxford Exchange, thank you know how much I love their Mocha Latte.

Sarah + Joe :: Bella Collina Engagement Session

You might be wondering if I traveled to Tuscany for this engagement session... I wish, but it's still really exciting that there is a venue this phenomenal just outside Orlando called Bella Collina. What's even better, Sarah and Joe will also be getting married at Bella Collina in April! As I told them several times, the only problem I will ever have with this venue is that there are too many places to shoot! It's true that I would be tremendously excited for any wedding at Bella Collina, but Sarah and Joe have been such great clients already and I can't wait to spend a whole day with them on their wedding day. In the mean time, I hope you'll enjoy this very selective preview!

Elise + Stephen :: Engagement Shoot

It's obvious, these two have style. Just a quick fact about me, I'm always jealous when someone wears a bow tie when I'm not wearing one... I can only imagine how beautiful their wedding will be at the Vinoy in St. Petersburg this coming November. That awesome 65' mustang... That was Stephen's grandfathers, and made for not just a fun and awesome addition to the shoot, but a sentimental one. There was no shortage of amazing images from this shoot. There wedding can't come soon enough!

Michal + Jordan :: Highline Park Engagement Session

I think you'd have a hard time finding someone who doesn't love NYC, but I have a new love for the city after spending a day in the West Village. Not as a tourist, but more so as a day in the lives of Michal and Jordan. We first stopped at the restaurant Wallse, where they went after Jordan proposed. Then we made a pit stop at one of their favorite local coffee shops, Kava Cafe, expressos for them, a mocha latte for me. All this on our way to a relatively new, elevated urban park - the Highline, a park they both regularly jog and hang out in. As if this shoot wasn't exciting enough, I can't wait for their amazing wedding with Lovelee Affairs at the Goat Farm Art Center in downtown Atlanta.

Callyn + Brian :: Philippe Park Engagement Shoot

Callyn is a good friend from college, and I'm so happy to see she found such an amazing fiance and future husband. I can't wait for their beautiful wedding next September on a lake in South Carolina. If their details/props from their shoot are any indication of what the wedding will be like, I could not be any more excited!
