Alison + Drew - Don Cesar Wedding

A wedding like Alison and Drew's will never go out of style. All the elements are so simple, elegant, and beautiful. I couldn't love their style/design choices any more... Or love them and their families any more. I had an absolutely amazing time all day, I can honestly say the season ended with a bang. If you read my blog, I may sound like a broken record with this, but great vendors are the foundation for a great day. Thank you Alison and Drew for being such incredible clients. I can't wait to finish the rest of the images. Also check out their engagement session from this past December, it was one of my favorites.

Glacier National Park

In May of 2002, I read an issue of Adventure Magazine titled, Secret of the Great Parks. For Glacier National Park, a singular quote has stuck with me ever since - "The Milky Way up here is nearly as bright as the moon is elsewhere".After 2 rainy nights camping in Glacier National Park, I felt the night I've anticipated for over 10 years was near. Little did I know, under the veil of clouds and rain was a night sky so dark and so densely packed with stars that I can still hardly believe my eyes. After an hour and a half of star gazing, it was time for sleep… The next day started with Yoga on the shore of this amazing lake, and then a hike of 8.8 miles with about 2,500 ft of elevation gain, up to a snow blocked pass to Ptarmigan Tunnel. I really don't think there is anything more fun than throwing snowballs at my best friends and brother at the end of June.

Elizabeth + Evan :: Engagement Shoot

I can't quite quantify it, but Elizabeth and Evan have something amazing. They're so perfect together, and it sounds funny, but they're both perfect clients for me. When I was first contacted by them, my initial excitement came because they'll be getting married at the Black Diamond Ranch, a venue in Florida, that at times looks as though it might be in the mountains, or at least a different state (much like many of my images). But most of my excitement came from Elizabeth's initial email, which could not have been any sweeter. As I found out at our initial consultation, Elizabeth gets that sweetness from her mom. Two random facts, Evan rode a bike across the United States not that long ago, and he also restored the bike you see in the photos below. Amazing people... I can't wait for the wedding.

Pamela :: Personal

You might think not having a weekend off since February, and shooting five weddings in the last three weekends would leave me tired and burnt out. Quite the contrary, I finished my wedding season energized and excited to experiment with a new black and white film, which I have quickly come to love. On this day, I sought to capture darker scenes and little more drama than you might find in my typical work. However, in the end I knew it would be impossible to hide Pam's great smile and personality. I had the pleasure of shooting my good friend Pam about a year and a half prior, only that was a frigid winter shoot.

Katie + Erick :: Selby Gardens Wedding

Most of the time, I can tell if clients will be a great fit from the initial email. For Katie and Erick, I had a good feeling when they said they'll be getting married at one of my absolute favorite venues, Selby Gardens. When we first met, my excitement grew because I loved their personal style and loved hearing about their wedding plans. Katie told me that many of her childhood memories were of buying flowers with her mother and helping water her mother's garden in Pittsburg. In the end, I think I'm most excited about how wonderful both Katie and Erick's families and friends were to work with, and that I can definitely call them my friends. When everything was said and done, Katie and Erick sent a wonderful thank you card and a gift subscription to Backpacker magazine. It was not only extremely thoughtful, but came at a perfect time... I'll be going on two backpacking trips this summer and my subscription ran out a few months ago!To top it all off, their wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty's main page today!Their stylish engagement session was also featured today on Style Me Pretty FloridaWedding Venue :: Marie Selby Botanical GardensWedding Planning :: Barbie Tilman of Bumblebee Weddings & Events Floral Design :: FH Weddings & EventsCatering :: Fete CateringCeremony Musicians :: Bella MusicaDJ :: Josh Walther of Inspire Entertainment Wedding Dress :: Maggie Sottero via Olga’s Bridal BoutiqueHair :: Tammy Gamso of The Finishing TouchesSecond Shooter :: Gina Leigh

Lauren + Michael :: Bok Tower Engagement Session

If it looks like we had Bok Tower Gardens to ourselves, it's because we did. Bok Tower is already one of my favorite places in the area, but if anything can make it better, it's exclusive access. What's even more exciting is the beautiful wedding they're planning. Their ceremony will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with their cocktail hour and reception at the Tampa Yacht and Country Club. It was an absolute pleasure photographing these two and their sweet Boston Terrier. I can't wait for the wedding!

Sara + TJ :: Selby Gardens Wedding

Three days would not have been enough to photograph these two. I tried my hardest, but I'm still not sure I adequately captured just how much personality Sara has, and just how much fun Sara and TJ had on their wedding day. Not only was their ceremony celebrated at one of my absolute favorite venues, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, but their reception was at TJ's aunt's property, which was equally impressive. In fact, it was a general consensus among the vendors involved that the property should be opened for more weddings. At the end of this night, I left saying to myself... Not one second of the day felt like work to me. I wish you both a very happy marriage!Dress :: Vera WangCatering :: Nellie's CateringFlorist :: Elegant Designs Floral Art Studio

Martha + Rob :: Barrington Hill Farm Wedding

The greatest honor for me is when I capture the wedding of another creative. Martha happens to be a very talented graphic designer (as you can see with her invitation and save the date). Besides having similar professions, I think Martha and Rob have similar taste... Because I love every decision they made for their wedding. The colors, the florals, the suits/ties, and of course, the beautiful venue - Barrington Hill Farm.

Karla + Andy :: Engagement Shoot

Fewer things excite me more than exploring. Through exploration, on occasion, I'm rewarded with a location in Florida that looks as though it could be somewhere out west, or simply a place with elevation. For this shoot, the light and land might feel like Southern California, but I promise, it's Florida. For Karla and Andy's wedding though, I will be traveling just north of the Florida border to the beautiful Pebble Hill Plantation. I cannot wait.
