Karla + Andy :: Pebble Hill Plantation Wedding

I'm convinced that Karla and Andy must be the bringers of perfect weather. The weather, light, and location for their engagement session was one for the ages... That combination is highly sought after, yet rarely found. Yet, their November wedding was marked by perfect weather/light, an absolutely perfect venue, and a perfect group of family and friends. I hope I get to shoot again at the Pebble Hill Plantation soon! If you can't tell, I truly loved Karla's dress! In the interest of not going overboard, I was very selective!

Kelly + Josh :: Bok Tower Wedding Photography

I'm partial toward any dog mixed with a shih-tzu, but how cute is Lola? She was a part of the engagement shoot, she was the ring bearer, and she even found her way in to the father/daughter dance. She also made it to our album ordering session! She's the perfect dog for a perfect couple. Josh and Kelly are so fun and so amazing to work with. I loved everything about their intimate wedding at Bok Tower Gardens. I can't wait to design their albums.

The Hoh River

As the sun was setting, and we set up camp along the banks of the Hoh River, 12 miles of backpacking got the best of me. Instead of reaching for my tripod for this longer exposure, I opted to balance the camera on a rock. Of course that wasn't any easier, but in the end, the result was still the same. As the day turned to night, we made a roaring fire and we each found a comfortable place to lay on the stone strewn river bed. We watched the stars slowly turn and the sound of cool blue glacier water eased us all to sleep. The next day, we left the river valley and rainforest to make the grueling but epic climb to where this river originates, the Blue Glacier on Mt. Olympus.

Blair + Brian :: Southern Wedding

If you had heard the speeches at either the rehearsal dinner or reception, it would be safe to assume that Blair and Brian are two pretty amazing people that come from two absolutely amazing families. But I'm certainly not basing this on words alone, but the entire experience of the wedding weekend and the love that was evident every step of the way. It's no surprise that the most love could be found between Blair and Brian, they're totally crazy about each other... Which makes me totally crazy about my job. There's nothing like an amazing southern wedding coordinated by the one and only Lovelee Affairs.Featured today on Southern Weddings blog!Planner :: Jade - Lovelee AffairsCeremony :: First United Methodist Church - Athens, GAReception :: Athens Country ClubFlorist :: Gardenia Floral DesignWedding Cake :: Couture CakesRentals :: Goodwin RentalsLinens :: I Do LinensStationary :: Carina SkrobeckiHair Stylist :: Laurel MillsMakeup Artist :: Erica BogartBride's Gown :: Anna Maier

Nikki + Nick :: Cross Creek Ranch Wedding

This wedding was only a few weeks ago, but I can still feel the light breeze of the cool and dry air that marked the first absolutely beautiful day of the fall season. Since Nikki and Nick are both artists/photographers, you might think I would feel extra pressure, but it was actually the opposite. The day was so fun and easy-going and they had complete trust in me from the beginning, so I could just focus on capturing the day and being creative. I loved everything about this wedding, and I hope you'll enjoy some of my favorites below.Wedding Venue :: Cross Creek RanchNikki's Portfolio

Michal + Jordan :: Highline Park Engagement Session

I think you'd have a hard time finding someone who doesn't love NYC, but I have a new love for the city after spending a day in the West Village. Not as a tourist, but more so as a day in the lives of Michal and Jordan. We first stopped at the restaurant Wallse, where they went after Jordan proposed. Then we made a pit stop at one of their favorite local coffee shops, Kava Cafe, expressos for them, a mocha latte for me. All this on our way to a relatively new, elevated urban park - the Highline, a park they both regularly jog and hang out in. As if this shoot wasn't exciting enough, I can't wait for their amazing wedding with Lovelee Affairs at the Goat Farm Art Center in downtown Atlanta.

Callyn + Brian :: Philippe Park Engagement Shoot

Callyn is a good friend from college, and I'm so happy to see she found such an amazing fiance and future husband. I can't wait for their beautiful wedding next September on a lake in South Carolina. If their details/props from their shoot are any indication of what the wedding will be like, I could not be any more excited!

Meghan + Andrew :: St. Louis Engagement Session

Today I leave for Meghan and Andrew's amazing wedding at a venue that's been on my bucket list for a few years now... The One & Only Ocean Club, on Paradise Island, Bahamas. Not only are they gracious enough to bring me down to the Bahamas for their intimate wedding, but they flew me up to St. Louis for their engagement session just a few weeks ago. Prior to this shoot, I only drove through St. Louis to see the Gateway Arch, so I didn't know much about the city... But Meghan and Andrew made sure I saw the best parts of the city, so I have a new found love/respect for St. Louis. I'll be honest, the crepes I had the morning after the shoot might have sealed the deal.

Olympic National Park

Six years ago, I traveled to a place beyond my wildest imagination. A national park where  in one day, you can be among the towering sea stacks along the Pacific Coast, then a temperate rain forest with giant sitka spruce and douglas fir trees covered in moss, and finish the day off with Glacier covered peaks in the Olympic range. Never before or since have I experienced a place like Olympic National Park.Today I leave for my favorite city Seattle, then I'll spend a full day at Mt. Rainier National Park, and then 5 days in Olympic National Park (4 of those days will be in the backcountry in the Hoh Rainforest and the alpine meadows overlooking Mt. Olympus). I'm going off season, so I will likely see more elk in rut and bears preparing for hibernation than bipeds.
