Sadie + Brian :: Ocala Wedding

Sadie and Brian's wedding was a day filled with joy, happiness, and sweet emotions... With 425 guests, and beautiful details and candid moments everywhere I turned, I'm so glad I could rely on Julie and Laura all day! After a rainy and extremely warm week, this was the first day since the spring with perfect weather, so they weren't the only ones smiling all day! Anna and her team with Anna Lucia Events knocked this event out of the park.

Emily + John :: Grove Park Inn Wedding

In college, one of my best friends had to sub-lease his bedroom for the summer in our 4 bedroom apartment. He said he found someone, and they seemed awesome but their was one catch... She was a female, and her name was Emily... She took a chance rooming with 3 guys for the summer, but we all truly hit it off. When she went back to Gainesville to finish her graduate degree, we all kept in touch, and actually visited UF several times to hang out with our new and awesome friend Emily. When I graduated, Emily moved to Tampa and we were both looking for an apartment closed to downtown, so we again became roommates, but this time on Harbour Island. Even though she was the perfect roommate, I could not have been more excited for her when she met John... It was so easy to see that they were great for each other, and no one saw that better than one of my closest friends Brandon. He was the one who sub-leased his room, and was very close friends with both Emily and John from the beginning. With Brandon's charisma and unique friendship with them both, it was almost a no-brainer when it came to choosing an officiant. Needless to say, this was a special wedding for me. Not only was their wedding weekend in Asheville, NC at an unbelievably epic venue, but my best friend officiated, my brother was a guest, and so were so many other friends. On top of all that, Emily and John know how to throw a great party. Although I photographed the day as I would for any of my clients, I definitely felt like a guest... Especially at the end of the reception! I love the images I was able to create, but do yourselves a favor and check out their wedding film by Nicholas & Keaton! I've seen it no less than 15 times. So many great memories!

Savannah + Chris :: Lakeland Wedding

Truly, this is what weddings are all about. I left this amazing day energetic, hopeful, and excited. If we met another way, I have a feeling I might've been a guest at this wedding rather than the photographer. However, I'm so thankful they chose me to capture their day, Savannah and Chris are such genuine and amazing people, and their family and friends were no different. Aside from myself, and the amazing wedding planner/event designer Laura Helm with Ashton Events, pretty much all the vendors were either family or close friends. With beautiful hymns played by three members of the wedding party and an amazing sermon, their ceremony was filled with beautiful emotions and personal touches. This may sound funny, but not only was this entire group hilarious and awesome, but they were so receptive and cooperative... Which goes a long way with a large wedding party in the August heat! I'm sad to be already putting the finishing touches on their storytelling album, but I have a good feeling we'll hang out again the next time I'm in NYC!

Julia + Tom :: Beach Engagement Session

Would you believe me if I said there are plenty more where these came from? In an effort to not overwhelm, I only chose a few favorites, but let me assure you... This session was incredible! I'm pretty sure that if you add Gigi's cupcakes and "champagne" to anything, it's an almost guaranteed recipe for success. I will be eagerly awaiting their wedding next May at the Vinoy! In the mean time, enjoy this preview!

Jessica + Arthur :: Casa Feliz Wedding Photography

The spring season finished strong and ended with this amazing wedding and absolutely incredible couple. The month of May was my busiest month of my year so far, and thankfully, also one of the best. Jessica and Arthur chose an all-star cast of vendors, starting with Jackie Ross with Table Six Productions and Botanica International Design & Decor Studio. On the wedding day, the radar didn't look good, but with some positive thoughts, we ended up having a clear window for the ceremony,  as well as for an amazing dinner and awesome reception with the Phase5 Band. I'm so excited that I already have a one year anniversary session in the works with these two!

Anne + Michael :: Downtown St. Pete Engagement Session

Anne and Michael's December wedding at the Don Cesar is just months away, but I simply cannot wait to photograph these two again. They made it seem effortless behind the camera, and Anne has so much personality. She may be the only bride that has ever asked me to jump in to an iPhone selfie with her! I must admit, I felt honored... And thinking about it now, it would not be a bad trend to start with future engagement sessions! I know I'll have a field day when they are surrounded by friends and family at such a beautiful venue.

Kimberly + JT :: Rustic Beach Engagement Session

If I were to highlight a few similarities between the many incredible engagement sessions I've had this spring, I would say most of had cute dogs, great light, and amazing couples. This rustic beach engagement session is no exception. Kimberly and JT were so great to work with, and have the cutest little pup. I can't wait for their wedding at Cross Creek Ranch next February!

Yun :: Bridesmaids Portrait Shoot

I always love to leave myself plenty of time to scout a new venue, but I found myself considering an early morning flight to NYC the day of Yun's wedding, and the morning after a long wedding in Orlando, FL. She seemed so sweet and I had no doubt that we were a perfect fit... And I was dying to shoot at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden! As it turned out, there were no flights leaving early enough, so logistically I realized I just couldn't make it. Thankfully, Yun still reached out for a bachelorette shoot. I am so happy she did, because Yun and her beautiful bridesmaids were so much fun and so easy to photograph! Miami is an adult playground to most, but I can't imagine anything being more fun than a beach shoot with your 9 closest friends!
